Saudia Yasmein

is an entertainer from Northeastern Ohio. She moved to Southern California to start a career in the entertainment industry.With a Blues and Funk background, Saudia Yasmein writes and sings what she feels to deliver to the world a taste of her highly spirited story- telling through song and poetry. Though she is an up and coming artist, her ability to captivate her audience is reminiscent of a seasoned veteran. She’s performed at the AMA and the Golden Globe after parties with the legendary Herbie Hancock, who praised her for her showmanship and professionalism. She was also one of the top 20 contestants on the nationally televised BET’s Sunday’s Best, hosted by Kirk Franklin.  And more recently, she’s had the pleasure of being a former member of the Dark Soul Psychedelic band Andrian Younge presents Venice Dawn. Through Adrian Younge, Saudia has had the pleasure of  working and performing with artist like William Hart of the Delfonics, Bilal, and Souls of Mischief, the legendary Ali Shaheed Muhammad.  During the 3 years with Venice Dawn  she toured the United States with Ghost Face Killah of the Wutang Clan performing music from his album, 12 Reasons to Die and Part 2 of that album and also lending her voice to the song Felt off Wu-Tang’s  A Better Tomorrow album.  Recently, she had the awesome experience of writing a song for the first series of The Hit Netflix Series Luke Cage and she also sings throughout the first and second series’ score.

Saudia will definitely be one to watch as she comes into her own.  Her sound is a blend of the music you’ve known and loved from the past with splashes of Hip-Hop and other interesting elements for flavoring.  As we enter into a new wave of independence, it’s understood that the industry is craving the next new sound. Her music, her sound, and her look has something for everyone.
