4/4/18… It’s been a week since the Raw Show!!! it was live! I had a great time. All the artist that performed and those who had booths were absolutely amazing! The hosts were great especially Tui. I can’t wait to do the next one!
1/28/18… I’m HERE! Hey it’s been a while. I’m up and running. 2018 is starting off with a BANG! There are so many things in the works right now. I’ll let you all in on it sooner than later! STAY CONNECTED with me!
7/15/14… So… How’s everyone? I’ve been trudging right along. Last week I had the pleasure of participating in a convention called iPOP. It was held in Century City at the Hyatt Hotel. I have to say… It was an awesome experience for me and truly validating. iPOP allows people, who may not have or get the opportunity, to show their talents in front of angencies and managers. I’ll also say, it’s costly, but for those who get callbacks and land an agent/manager, it’s worth it to them. I had so much fun meeting and performing with everyone. To make a long story short, I faired well in my 2 categories (I won best singer and actress) and am excited to see what will come of my 6 days at iPOP. Also want to thank Ron, Cindy, D’Mitri and Brandon of JRP Westlake for first believing and coaching me to do my very best. I told Ron, “I’m going to make you Proud.” I believe I did that. However, I know it’s not over yet. I have a long way to go. Keep me in your prayers and I’ll keep you in mine!
5/26/14… It’s been a minute since my last entry. Many things have taken place since then. First, I am no longer in the play Miz Bonnie’s Band. They let me go. That’s a first for me. However, life goes on. I wish them the best. Next thing is I’m a few more songs into my project. I’m super excited about that. Knowrisk and Incognito are doing their thing when it comes to my music. You can actually hear 2 of their tracks on the site. There aren’t any lyrics on them yet but on my end, I have recorded those songs. I can’t wait for you all to hear them!!! ALSO before I forget, my web tech, David, fixed my site!!! NOW you can order the SAUDIAYASMEIN GEAR from the site. I’m so happy!
4/8/14… So I’m in another play. It’s call Miz Bonnie’s Band. It’s about a Chicago Blues singer named, wait for it – – wait for it… Miz Bonnie, played by me, Saudia Yasmein. She’s had some craziness in her life with her parents and siblings. Lost her husband (he died) and has not had a love life since then and has dedicated her life to her music and becoming a writer. She’s got some cool friend (her band members). Her best friend is Debra who sings back-up in the band. I’m excited about the possibilities for this production. I’ll keep you posted on WHAT’S GOING ON…
3/28/14… New equipment / New songs / New journey, thanks to Adrian Younge and many other friends that continue to push and encourage me. It’s awesome to know someone other than yourself believes in you!!!
3/21/14… It’s been a about a week since the Gasparilla Festival and SXSW. Must say we had an amazing time. Got to perform with Bilal, Ali Shaheed from A Tribe Call Quest and Souls of Mischief. The new music went over very well. I’m super excited for all that’s coming next.
March 7th Adrian Younge Presents Venice Dawn is headed to the Gasparilla Festival. I’m super excited and can’t wait to get to Tampa!!!
